The Transport for Wales concession event ticket offers free return travel from Cardiff Central to stations within the Wales and Borders boundary, the ticket is only valid on a TfW service. The product will ONLY be made available to key workers who will be working at category A events taking place in Cardiff. The product will be managed through the fares scheme calendar functionality in PMS, it will only appear to issue for the event day itself under route code 44 (TFW ONLY).
The product will only be retailable through the TFW Travel Management Service, TFW RS booking offices and, by exception, TfW RS conductors on-board TfW RS services where TfW RS booking offices don’t exist at origin station. To qualify for the free ticket the customer must present their relevant ID to the front-line colleague. Details on which key workers will be eligible for an event day will be cascaded to front line colleagues ahead of time.

Available to buy from the Travel Management Service, any staffed ticket office, or on-board from a Transport for Wales Conductor.
This ticket can be purchased in advance or immediately before travel.
