L3Y LumoFlex (Standard Class)

  • Valid only on the specific booked train.

Permitted luggage onboard is 1 suitcase of max dimensions 63cm x 41cm x 27cm and a small bag which can fit under the seat or on an overhead rack or lap. See T&Cs for full details.

Availability

Any National Rail staffed ticket office, train company telesales office, online at most train company website and selected rail appointed travel agents.

Tickets are valid only on the date and train service(s) shown on the ticket(s). Where applicable, valid only for travel in the class and reserved seat(s) shown on the ticket(s).

Discounts

  • Children aged 5 to 15 inclusive: 50% discount.
  • Up to two children aged under 5 may travel free of charge with each fare-paying adult.

1/3 off with the following Railcards:

  • 16-25,
  • 26-30,
  • Family & Friends,
  • Senior,
  • HM Forces,
  • Disabled Persons,
  • Two Together Railcards.

Break of Journey

Outbound:

Customers may not start, break and resume, or end their journey at any intermediate station except to change to/from connecting trains as shown on the ticket(s) or other valid travel itinerary.


Inbound:

Not applicable. LumoFlex are single tickets only.

Change of Journey

If you wish to change your time of travel, date of travel, or the origin or destination of your ticket, you can pay the difference between the cost of the ticket held and the cost of the ticket that is most appropriate for the journey you need to make up to 23:59 the day before you are due to travel, no admin fee will be applied. In many cases, no additional fare will be payable.

Refunds

For tickets purchased until 31 March 2026:

Your ticket is refundable or exchangeable up to 23:59 the day prior to travel. If you decide not to use your ticket then you can get a refund by returning your unused ticket to the ticket office or place of purchase (for tickets bought via websites, telesales, or travel agents) before the day of travel. You will not be required to pay an administration fee.

For tickets purchased from 1 April 2026:

Refundable until 23:59 the day before the ticket becomes valid for travel.

Not refundable once the ticket has become valid for travel unless Condition 30 of the National Rail Conditions of Travel (failure of train service) applies.

In exceptional circumstances a refund may be considered on unused or part-used tickets that have become valid for travel. In such cases an application must be made to the retailer within 28 days of the expiry date of the ticket and should include the reason for non-use. Additional evidence may be requested, refunds will be on a discretionary basis, and any use made of the ticket may mean that in some circumstances no refund will be due.

Refunds are only available from the retailer that sold the tickets.

You will not be required to pay an administration fee.

Validity and reservation requirements

Reservations are required by this ticket type on both the outward and (where applicable) return journeys.
