LAD Luton Airport DUO Return

The Luton Airport DUO Return is available on selected journeys to and from Luton Airport and gives a 25% discount for two Adults travelling together at Off-Peak times, compared to the price of two Off-Peak Return tickets for the same journey.

Luton Airport DUO Return tickets are only valid when both people travel together, they're not valid if you travel on different services.

The times when you can use your Luton Airport DUO Return ticket will depend on the journey you're making and you will be advised when buying your ticket.

Availability

Luton Airport DUO Return tickets can be sold at Ticket Offices and Travel Centres, self-service ticket machines at stations, rail-appointed travel agents, online at most train company websites or through other online retailers or train company telesales offices.

Luton Airport DUO Return tickets can be bought in advance or immediately before travel. The outward part of the ticket is valid on date shown on ticket. Return travel within one calendar month.

There are no child fares or discounts available for Railcard holders, Annual Gold Card holders or holders of other discount cards.

Discounts

There are no child discounts available with these tickets.

But up to two children aged under 5 can travel free with each fare paying passenger.

Plus on journeys where the Thameslink Kids for £2 ticket offer is available, up to 4 children travelling with each Luton Airport DUO Return ticket holder can travel for £2 each.

There are no additional discounts for Railcard holders on Luton Airport DUO Return tickets.

There are no additional discounts for larger groups on Luton Airport DUO Return tickets.

Break of Journey

Outbound:

Break of journey is permitted unless otherwise indicated by a restriction shown against the ticket's Restriction Code.

Overnight break of journey - if the journey cannot be completed on the same day, the ticket may be used to continue the journey on the following day.

Unless otherwise indicated in the relevant restriction code, time restrictions apply as from the initial origin station on both days.

The appropriate restrictions for the actual day on which travel is being undertaken apply (for example, it may be that if day 1 is on Sunday, no restrictions apply, but on day 2, the Monday-Friday restrictions apply). All travel must be completed by 04:29 in the morning after this second day.


Inbound:

Break of journey is permitted on the return portion off an Luton Airport DUO Return unless otherwise indicated by a restriction shown against the ticket's Restriction Code.

Change of Journey

If you wish to change your time of travel you can pay the difference between the cost of the Luton Airport DUO Return ticket held and the cost of the ticket that is most appropriate for the journey you need to make.

In many cases, if you are still travelling at a time when your ticket is not restricted, no additional fare is payable.

If you wish to change the date of travel, or the origin or destination of your ticket, it may be necessary to buy a new ticket and apply for a refund on your existing ticket (see Refund Policy).

Refunds

Your Luton Airport DUO Return ticket is refundable.

If you decide not to use your ticket to make all or part of your intended journey then you can get a refund by returning your unused ticket to the ticket office or place of purchase (for tickets bought via websites, telesales or travel agents) within 28 days of the ticket expiry date.

You may be required to pay an administration fee (up to a maximum of £5 per ticket). The refund amount will normally take into account any use you have made of the ticket and in some circumstances no refund will be paid.

Validity and reservation requirements

Reservations are not required by this ticket type, but may still be forced by a selected timetabled mandatory-reservations train service.
